westafricanbaby:king-emare:thatpettyblackgirl:This is so unfairWowI will never forget her first IAAF 800m race in Berlin, 2009. She shattered records. The gap between her and the person running in second place was massive, she even started slowing down towards the end. That was when the whole stupid “she’s a man” controversy started. They made her take all types of tests, including sex verification tests, even when she got back to South Africa. Since then, in every World Championship and Olympic game she has competed in, she has had to go through ridicule, even from her fellow competitors, PARTICULARLY THE WHITE ONES. The Rio Olympics was the worst. 2 of the white girls that also ran the race started crying at the end and saying all types of shady things about all the African women that competed. They even went on Instagram and kept saying they were competing with men. I particularly remember that incident because I found the white girl’s Instagram and cursed her out. The worst part was that she was UGLY AS FUCK with a strong ass face, stupid bitch. It got to the point where Caster stopped doing her best in some races, she would be in first place but it was obvious she wasn’t running at full capacity. She has really gone through a lot with the racism and sexism of the IAAF. -- source link
