PRAGUE Travel diary - Day 6 We meet @mattjabbar and @tekumushi again to start a new sketching day! *Then we move onto a second sketch until 3 pm! The subject is quite difficult because we are sitting in front of the rising way to the castle. So the perspective isn’t easy to draw. * After about 5 hours sketching, we need a break and find this charming restaurant with a gorgeous courtyard. We can hear the sound of a fountain and birds while eating and the air is cool so we spend quite a long time here and don’t really want to leave. * But no time to waste, our goal is to fill our sketchbook before the end of the trip! Kana really wants to draw statues so we stop by this church surrounded by creepy putti and saints with propellers as an aureole. * We stay here for a while after sketching to talk about our different brand of watercolors and about coloring techniques. Mateusz and Kana try to use Cecile’s Sennelier box and Mateusz tries Olivier’s Green Gold color, very useful for vegetation. We discover Mateusz and Kana never use pure black while it’s the color we use and change the most in our boxes! * The day is already falling but Mateusz and Kana can’t be stopped! They want to draw the view of the roofs from the castle square! We are not that ambitious and decide to draw our two friends to keep a reminder of them focusing on their work. -- source link
