holdhard: Pair of shoulder chains, 11th King Edward’s Own Lancers (Probyn’s Horse), 1913 Legend has it that officers of the 2nd Punjab Cavalry sewed lengths of bridle curb chain across their shoulders for added protection during the Indian Mutiny (1857-1859).
