wherefrostreignhangar:Kinbiken Communication No. 20 1997. Kinbiken Communication is now regarded as one of the few institutional contemporary SM papers. It was first published by photographer Akio Fuji’s ‘Fuji Publishing House’ June 1989 with rope master Chimo Nureki engaged as editor. The enterprise evolved to print format from a SM study group initiated in 1985 by Naomi Sugishita with Nureki and Fuji in leading roles. Kinbiken soon evolved from a enthusiast photo group and meeting space to a frontier multi-disciplinary platform for research, knowledge dissemination, production and distribution of SM photography, printed matter, CD-Rom publications to AV production that today is still active. The printed series at hand function as a standalone SM magazine, but it was also a newsletter offering documentation of the group’s activities. Kinbiken Communication related personnel are in selection: Akio Fuji (photography), Chimo Nureki (rope master/editor/writer), Masami Akita aka noise musician Merzbow, Akira Naka (rope master), Asaji Muroi (artist), Hiromi Saotome (writer/model/rope master) to Kinbiken member and now cult-following SM model Yuri Sunohara.Editorial department: Chimo Nureki, etc. Japanese language Soft cover Format: 15 cm x 21 cm 146 pages Published by Fuji Publishing House, November 1st 1997.
