I haven’t posted on reviseordie in so long, and I wanted to write an explanation, and tell this lovely, wonderful community of followers about why and what I have planned next! That’s right guys, my days of educational illustration are NOT over! Keep reading to find out more and see my new illustration work…Revise or Die for me was everything. I loved it, and I loved answering questions and helping the studying community out. It too gave me wonderful opportunities, and helped kickstart my career as a freelance illustrator and designer, which I did alongside my studies. Before I knew it I was up to my eyeballs in degree & real-world-money work, and had little time for my beloved blog. I then did a year in industry as an Assitant Brand Manager (Marketing) at Unilever in the hair department whilst still freelancing; now that reeeeally ate away my time. All of this ~IRL~ stuff got in the way, and thus, reviseordie sort of, died. I missed it all the time and longed for the day I had time to do educational illustration again.BUT I have exciting news. I was and will always be passionate about education illustration, and so, I am starting a new platform; The Good Textbook. To begin with, The Good Textbook (@thegoodtextbook) will be based on Instagram. When I finish my degree this summer (Where did all that time go?), I will be focussing my spare time into growing the platform, including then on Tumblr.‘But, what makes this any different to Revise or Die?’ I hear you all cry in unison. The main reasons for changing everything are simple; The Good Textbook, long term, will not just exist as a site. The project has been a long term goal of mine to bring colourful, engaging and educational content to people in a physical form; that’s right, as a real life textbook. My goal is to give basic education to everyone, not just those with the privilege of regular Internet access. For now, just think of me *trying* to be the Toms of the education world. In the approach to my graduation, it’s time for fresh beginnings and new projects, and as time goes on, I will reveal more details. (Equally, I understand if you can’t ever forgive me from my long term vacation from my Tumblr. But, that would be incredibly sad)Double good news, is that there’s some content already up, and I would appreciate it from the bottom of my heart if you could check it out. FOLLOW THE NEW INSTAGRAM @thegoodtextbook -> already popping & awaiting your humble follow FOLLOW THE NEW TUMBLR @thegoodtextbook -> its a blank canvas for now, but it will be starting to fill up very soon. I will be posting again here when its up and running Here’s a sneak peak of some content now live on insta As for Revise or Die, this isn’t the end - this Tumblr will always exist as a resource for you all. Never stop working hard to achieve your goals, but don’t do it at the expensive of enjoying life. Remember, there is always someone out that values you and wants to help, and this community demonstrates that more than anything.Emily x -- source link
