swaybound: cumdoll: I’m going to go out on a limb and say that when her hands are turning that dark purple, it’s time to stop. I’ve read up on that quite a bit, and interestingly, restricted circulation on the limbs isn’t really much of an emergency. It apparently would take hours (!) until tissue damage develops and you’d likely be in bad pain (because of the trapped waste products) before that happens. If the ropes aren’t ridiculously tight, it’s mostly the superficial veins that are blocked. Fancy color, but low danger rating. Now I’m not saying that I’d intentionally make ropes too tight or that I wouldn’t try to fix such problems when they happen. But it’s still interesting that unlike nerve compression, circulation problems (on the limbs!) look and feel more dangerous than they really seem to be. That’s very interesting, and definitely good to know! All that’s running through my head right now, though, is that Criminal Minds episode where the serial killer cut off the circulation in the women’s limbs (using wire) before cutting them off (the limbs) while they were still alive… It makes it impossible for me to find the purple color sexy like I know some people do. -- source link
