Monster March 2019 09/31: The Howler “They’re out there. I can hear the sound of their claws clicking on the floor as they crawl in the hallway. From time to time, they let a long and loud moan out of the gaping hole their mouth look like. It sounds like some disharmonious mockery of a foghorn. And their moan seem to respond to one another from different rooms of the abandoned building I’ve locked myself in, like if their were communicating in some twisted way. I’ve counted at least four or five different sources. It’s been hours since I’ve been waiting in this room. I can’t stay in here forever, but I’m too scared to go out there and face those creatures. It’s driving me mad and I don’t know how much I can stand of this nightmarish situation. Maybe if I wait a little longer, they’ll get tired eventually and leave the area, or at the very least fall asleep somewhere. They have to need some rest at some point, don’t they? Then I may be able to sneak past them and get the hell out of here and find some help. I wonder how long it would take them to catch me if they ever noticed me.
