Because sometimes what you need is a deadlineIt’s a new SC fest! And this one is incredibly simple and straightforward. That partial draft that’s been sitting in your WIP folder for months? That idea that’s been on your list since you finished the show but you’ve never gotten around to it? Whatever it is that you’ve been thinking about or working on, now is the time to finish it.…Participation is easy. Head over to the fest collection on AO3, read the FAQs and rules, and then claim any of our generic “Finish it!” prompts. Any kind of fanwork that can be posted to AO3 is welcome in this fest, as long as it fits under the SC umbrella. Works will be due Saturday, June 18 at 11:59 pm EDT, and reveals will happen Monday through Friday of the following week. And be sure to follow us here, too, because in the meantime we’ll be posting ask games and other activities to keep you motivated and to help promote your work, because we don’t just want you to finish something, we also want to support each other through the creative process and get people excited to enjoy your work when it’s posted. (And don’t worry if that isn’t your cup of tea, this part is totally optional—you can participate in all, some, or none of the things we post here and still be part of the fest.)Questions?
