DIY Dipping Paper Snowflakes in Wax. OK, they’ve taken down the photos and these were the best I could find, but I think these could be so beautiful hung on a tree or by a window, especially with the glitter embedded in the wax. Tutorial by Elby at Craftster.org here (taking you to page six where photo was reposted). Normally I wouldn’t post instructions like this ever, but these are bare bone and you may never have found them as they were added at the end by Elby:“This picture shows how I melted wax in a pan on the stove… you can use old candles or paraffin wax or beeswax would probably work too. I use skewers to dip the flakes into the wax and then as I take it out of the wax, I let the excess drip off. Then I lay on wax paper and sprinkle glitter (I like clear) over it before it hardens. This year I used a electric griddle covered in foil for my heat source. I found a large, round tart pan (or something) at a thrift store and melted the wax in that. This was WAY easier and less messy … nice to have it out of the kitchen!!!” -- source link
