ourviciouslittleworld: people are so ignorant about diabetes. I bet most of you think diabetes is easy to take care of, it’s not. with insulin treatment comes weight gain. people don’t like to gain weight, which sadly sometimes leads to this. not taking insulin can be very dangerous and can cause death for diabetics. it can also cause kidney failure, and other damaged organs. diabetes isn’t a serious disease they said. it’s easy to take care of they said. I’ll tell you firsthand how hard it is. diabetics and diabetes don’t get recognition for everything they do, and what this disease is. yes, there are worse diseases out there, but that doesn’t make diabetes any better. when was the last time you’ve seen someone raise awareness for diabetes, or had a fundraiser at school to find a cure? never. at least not I can remember. educate yourselves. -- source link
