Things you can relate to, as a boy having grown up with older sisters….After playing video games for much of the day, I came upon my sister’s bedroom resembling a a scene from a gruesome horror movie. They had dressed up, and painted one another’s faces as various monsters and creatures of the night. The overall effect was all very impressive. It was finally complete, just as a knock was heard at the front of the house. The girls scrambled me over, to which I pulled open the door, staring blankly at the boys from school, giddily awaiting their reaction.The boys jaws dropped. Their eyes opened wide. It was all going perfectly…… But then they looked towards one another, sharing a look of disbelief, before turning away, and making off, laughing hysterically.“I told you, he really is a fairy!!” I heard one of them excitedly proclaim in the distance.Suddenly it was rather I that found myself shocked, as well as extremely confused….. closing the door and making my way over to the mirror. As my jaw dropped in horror, my sisters rolled around the floor with laughter. They had made me up all right…. as a girl!
