If he stalls or freezes while checking for updates, make sure you’ve done any Windows or SSP updates you might have in your queue, or restart your computer and try again.I KNOW I KNOW IT’S BEEN A REALLY LONG TIME and this is really a pretty minor one no less. I actually got like halfway through adding a new feature to him and then just never finished it for whatever reason. I did start working on dialogue for him and Temmie, so maybe he’ll soon talk meaningfully to other ghosts! Gaster DOES have dialogue if a ghost talks to him, and some placeholder dialogue if Hunter and Smoker talk to him, but nothing substantial.If your copy of SSP is up to date, you may notice it giving you an error when you run him. It’s not anything serious - with a recent SSP update, if a ghost’s default shell folder isn’t named “master” it’ll throw up an error, and Gaster’s default shell folder is called normal_head, so. It’s meaningless and doesn’t affect his functioning at all, and it’s actually a surprisingly difficult thing to fix without requiring the user to redownload his entire shell folder in some way… I’m still trying to figure out a way to solve this problem since I don’t think there’s a way to rename a directory within a ghost’s code. But the main takeaway here is that if you get an error when you run him and it talks about his shell, that’s what it is. Totally harmless, you can just ignore it. Any other errors you get though let me know, haha.(Don’t rename his shell yourself to try and fix this - if you do, when you tell him to update, he’ll just redownload his whole shell again into a normal_head folder)I forgot to change his update date in his config menu oops. If I finish the Temmie dialogue soon I’ll change it.Temmie also got a minor update! It just fixed a shell issue she was having and updated her batting-at-the-mouse feature.[index] -- source link
