Austin Bright is a twenty one year old character in Make Your Mark Roleplay, a literate group. He looks very similar to Jacob Artist and is OPEN. Name: Austin Bright Nicknames: None Age: Twenty One Date of Birth: February 14th (Aquarius) Location of Birth: Louisville, Kentucky Gender Identity: Male Orientation: Heterosexual Occupation: Architect Apprentice Education: Apprenticing to become an Architect Identifying marks/tattoos: Two tattoos on back Piercings: None Resides In: Manhattan, New York Neighborhood: East Village Headcanon #1: Although Austin grew up in the church, he hasn’t been ever since he moved to New York. He still sees himself as a Christian, but the death of his mom really changed his outlook on things. Now, Austin hides the fact that he doesn’t go to church from his siblings.  Headcanon #2: Up to roleplayer! Austin Bright was the youngest of five siblings. He grew up in a clean-cut home in Kentucky, tucked neatly away in the suburbs. From afar, his life looked picture perfect. His family was well respected in the area as his father was a Catholic Priest and his mother was a doctor. They made a fair amount of money, and were able to enjoy their lives with luxuries– throughout Austin’s childhood he had many things. They had boats, cars, golf carts, a swimming pool, and much more than they could ever be thankful for. Yet, Austin’s parents kept a close watch on him and forced discipline. Without fail, the entire Bright family was at church every Sunday, watching their father give a homily up in front. While growing up, Austin was always expected to achieve so much. His parents wanted nothing less than exemplary grades, punctual curfews, and respect. They demanded all of this from him, and Austin was never, ever, allowed to misbehave. He was always well mannered and kind, a perfect gentleman. When Austin was eighteen, his mother passed away. She had been a doctor, but somehow, someway, managed to overlook the tiny symptoms of her illness. At the young age of forty-two, cervical cancer claimed her life. It would have ruined the family completely, if not for Austin’s father. He was the rock for Austin and his five siblings, the only thing that got them through. The family had strong faith in God, and was certain that their mother was going to a better place. Austin, however, felt a bit cheated. He wouldn’t dare speak of it, but part of him wondered why it had to be her. If God was so loving and all-knowing, why didn’t he care about how important his mother was to him? While he continued to go to church and call Christianity his religion, Austin never really saw things the same after losing his mother. He never told anybody this though, and still keeps it locked inside to this day. After his mother passed, Austin decided that it was time for a change. Kentucky was covered in her memory, and he had to escape. As a gift, his father gave him some money to start a life in New York. Austin bought the smallest, tiniest, apartment that he could get and found a job working at a gas station. It wasn’t much, but he was eventually able to get on his feet in the city. After a while, Austin’s father convinced him to meet with an friend of his that lived in the city. He was an architect, and when Austin met up for lunch with him, he offered him an apprenticeship. While architecture was never a career that Austin had considered, he accepted the offer graciously and went to work for him five days a week. Austin has always been good at drawing, and he’s got an analytical mind that is excellent at math. Architecture is something that he picked instantly, although he still has to do a lot more practicing. When he’s not at work, Austin is usually with some of his new friends from the city or with his siblings. Two of them live in Manhattan now as well, so they all get together pretty frequently. While part of him is still trying to get over the loss of his mother, another part of him is ready to move on. He’s held on to that for so long that he thought he’d explode. Eventually, Austin realized that he had to learn to let go, and he started to get better. He still misses her terrible though, and has had problems keeping relationships ever since her death. He’s always trying to improve himself though, and is ready to make something of himself in the big city.
