This boy got his hoofsies trimmed today, and he was apparently very well behaved for everyone, so I was really happy to hear that.So today we did lots of ground work and stuff. We went over some old things, and then I tried to get him to do some sidestepping with groundwork and. He immediately blasted off out of my hand like a jackass.But that was really the only time he acted up at all, and when I got him and had him go through the steps again, he did a really good job picking up on what I wanted him to do, sidestepping along with me.I did hop on him afterwards for a little bit, just in his halter, letting him wander a bit. We didn’t even close the arena door or anything and he was really well behaved.I fed him afterwards and just hung out until he wandered over to try and steal Q’s food. So then we headed outside, and I fed Q and watched Quattro try and steal from him while I cleaned the paddock.So yeah. It went decently, all-in-all, today.I’m glad he’s doing so well. -- source link
