onlymonica: 20s Stylin’ Those who know me know that I love, love, LOVE vintage fashion. I’ve attempted replicating women’s fashion in every decade from the 1870s to the 1980s. But for some strange reason, the 1920s was always a gap for me, a void in my interest. I have no idea – it was a very volatile, dynamic era, and very ‘experimental’. That’s my kind of decade!! But for some reason, I lacked a ‘connection’ to the 1920s that made it more personal to me. But, I’ve been binge watching the Netflix series ‘Peaky Blinders’ which takes place in England during the 20s. Good drama! Great acting!! Very Authentic!!! So, as a result, I’ve gained an interest in women’s fashion during that turbulent decade. Post WW1, politically volatile, socially and sexually ‘probing’, and very, very fascinating. -- source link
