Here’s a slightly better look at my bonkers little 18th century suit. I will share some closeups of all the silly embroidery soon! The buttons are all hand embellished. A tiny detail but worth it for the extra panache! I wanted to be Julie D’Aubigny but absolutely ended up as a dusty romantic vampire instead. I need a little court sword to compete the look. Part of the fun of making this was stumbling onto the fabric for the coat in an upholstery shop in Florida while I was visiting for a family funeral. My Great Aunt always loved an exuberant project and part of me feels like she handed me this material because it’s perfect.
