Ever have someone call you by name, and not recognize them? Capgras Delusion is a little like that: The person in front of you claims to be your best friend, but youknowthat it isn’t them. The person isn’t lying; your brain is. For unknown reasons, the brain confuses what it’s seeing with how it’s supposed to feel, so for Capgras patients, the person looks just like the person they know, but something doesn’t feel right.
