He turned out to be a rather playful and energetic calf, copying the other whales during shows.By five months of age, he already began playing on the slide out, a common behavior displayed by him. There are numerous videos that have been uploaded to YouTube of Makani purposefully beaching himself on the slideout and often just lying still.In December 2014, Kalia gave birth to her first calf named Amaya.
