So! Back in August, I won a ridiculous (and ridiculously cool) lot of stuff that, it turned out, I was able to (fairly confidently) trace back to a particular doll blog, due to the specific mix of dealer pieces they’d owned and photographed. It was pretty neat! When I won the auction, I had been under the impression that they were selling the last of their doll collection after getting out the hobby years ago.Only… it was just the beginning. XDRecently, they added several more listings with tons of additional things I was hankering after, which also provided further evidence that I had the provenance correct. Knowing who the previous owner was helped immensely in identifying some of the items from the listings! It was also lots of fun to see how they had styled and used the pieces, plus there’s just the good ol’ dash of nostalgia.Anyway. So I got a big (and I mean big; it was nearly a doll-sized box full of clothes) package from my proxy the other day. The previous owner was a collector after my own heart. ;o; <3First pic – gorgeous Lush Berry dress, still in package. This is one of their classic styles, and I’ve been eyeing it every time one came up for sale. The Y!J listing photos weren’t comprehensive, so I guessed that there was a Lush Berry item in there based on the package design, but I didn’t realize it’d be this one. It was a lucky surprise!Second pic – also a fun surprise, this is a simple but beautiful dress from Tremolo (I think they went through a few name changes). I’ve been trying to get some of their stuff for ages! This was separated from the rest of the set, sadly, but I’m grateful to have it at all.Third pic – WORKSHOP dress/top in black, with a very interesting texture. I don’t know if I’ll use it much – maybe for Joce? – or even end up keeping it, but it is neat nonetheless.Fourth pic – also by WORKSHOP, a lovely little white blouse with lace and pintucks. It could use some help to get it to lay flat after being in storage forever, but it’s quite cute. As it’s not tagged, this is one of the instances where being familiar with the previous owner’s blog came in handy!Fifth pic – another surprise; this top turned out to be from a your my baby set. I would love to own the rest of it someday! This dealer hasn’t released many things over the years, so it’s wonderful to have another of their pieces.Sixth pic – plaid skirt by Maricotinha. I am a sucker for plaid, I am a sucker for purple, and I am a sucker for Maricotinha’s works. So. Yeah. It’ll be on V eventually! XDSeventh pic – a grail item! This reversible balloon skirt by Aprism has been a dream of mine for over a decade. It’s so soft and floofy and adorable, and I can’t believe I finally own it. For some reason, I think of this as very emblematic of Aprism (+ Citron). <3Eighth pic – yes, it’s another velvet*paw kitty hat+scarf. Since it’s “ash” gray this time, that makes it totally different from the other… three… that I own. Right? Right. And anyway, it was part of a lot and I wasn’t going to say “no” to it once I had it in my hands, so there it is.This group of things were really all over the place, huh? The second part is a little more cohesive, so stay tuned~ -- source link
