art-of-swords:Two-handed SwordDated: middle of the 16th century Culture: GermanMeasurements: overall length 156 cmThe sword has a double-edged wavy blade, slightly broader at the point. The pronounced ricasso features slightly curved parrying hooks on both sides. An orb is inlaid in brass on one side at the base of the blade. The other side has three deeply struck marks.The flat tapering quillons have large guard rings on both sides, while the original spirally moulded grip is covered in black leather provided with old fringes on both ends.
