Making another review. This time on the O-HoThe O-Ho tier 8 Japanese heavy tank is considered one of the toughest in its tier, on par with the KV-4 and KV-5 Russian heavy tanks of the same tier. It weighs a whooping 120 tons and has frontal armor up to 200mm thick. The main advantage with this much armor is the ability to act as a living shield for your allies if cover is nowhere to be found. The mobility is surprisingly manageable, able to keep up with most other heavy tanks. The main gun selection is almost similar to its predecessor, the O-Ni. However this tank has its chinks in the armor, having only 105mm of side armor. The tank also suffers poor gun handling since the mini turrets at the front prevent it from fighting effectively. A simple way to counteract this is to turn the tank hull to the left or right, enabling its 10 degrees of gun depression to be used against smaller targets. However do not use this method against multiple tanks as the side armor could be left exposed to a lot of oncoming fire. Overall this tank should be played as a stationary front line tank, firing only when the right time is shown. In my opinion its a tank that’s easy to learn but hard to master. The poor gun depression from the front is a nuisance but I’ve learned to use it to my advantage by baiting enemy tanks to shoot my frontal armor, resulting in many rage filled complaints and salty tears from them. -- source link
