She was born at 12:19 p.m. At northeast Georgia medical center in Gainesville. She Is my miracle and I thank God every minute I’m given with her. Unfortunately she wasn’t due for another 17 weeks. Born at only 23 weeks, Little Charlotte “charlie” Weighed in at only 1 pound 5 oz. Before delivering my husband and I were given the grim statistics. She was to only have a 19% chance of survival And if she were to survive, Spend up to 6 months in the NICU, And she would more than likely face health problems for the duration of her life. Shortly after my water broke and we arrived at the hospital, the game plan was to keep charlie in me, give her the beta steriod to jump start lung function, and hope she would sit tight until the 24 week and 3 day mark. She had other plans of course and was delivered at 23 weeks and 5 days, thankfully with a decent amount of lung function, enough to even let out a small cry as she was born. This was a huge relief given that we were told there were good odds of her being stillborn if the steriod hadn’t kicked in in time. As of right now she is 8 days old, cozy in the NICU, waiting for the day she comes home. Unfortunately She’s dealing with cranial bleeding, multiple infections, Klebsiella Pneumonia. Staph, and will suffer from Chronic Lung Disease for quite some time. Through it all, she keeps fighting! My husband works full time, But is going to be unable to To keep up with the financial burden that this is putting us under. So what my husband and I ask of you now is for help with her medical bills that insurance will not be abke to cover, gas to and from the hospital to see her and stay updated on her progress, and for future medical treatments that she will require in the months And potentially years to come. If you decide to help in any way, be it donations, sharing our story, or nothing at all, we want to wish you a great day and god bless! Please if you can donate or share this around -- source link
