Here’s an excerpt from the BNHA Vol. 4 light novel at the end of the Cultural Festival chapter where everyone is back at the U.A. dorm common room, and Satou made candy for everyone. Kirishima offers Bakugou a piece, and Bakugou challenges Deku to the obstacle course. Enjoy~While the others were choosing various candies made by Satou, Bakugou sat alone on a sofa elsewhere. Kirishima came over and said, “Here’s yours, Bakugou!” as he offered a fruit candy to him, but Bakugou muttered, “Does it look like I want to eat sweet crap like that?”Satou saw Bakugou and brought out a bright red candy, giving him a wink and a thumbs up. “I knew you would say that,” he said, “so I made you this hot pepper candy!”Within the red candy was a piece of red chili. Bakugou was always fond of spicy food.He sneered and said, “Don’t try to accommodate me like that! How do I even know if this crap is supposed to be sweet or spicy!?” Bakugou raised his hand and was about to release an explosion, but Sero interjected, “Hey now, he made it for you after all!” and shoved the candy back at Bakugou. Deku watched them nearby as he sweated nervously, and Bakugou noticed him as he said, “Hey, shitty Deku!” and approached him. “Did you also do the obstacle course, you bastard?” Bakugou growled.Deku asked, “Obstacle course?”Ojiro answered, “It’s that thing where All Might’s high score still remains unbeaten ever since he was a student at U.A.”When Deku heard this, his face completely changed.“What!? Such a thing exists!? What do you mean there’s an obstacle course that still has All Might’s high score!?” As a die-hard fan, this could be an unforgettable chance of a lifetime, and he was stunned. Bakugou yelled, “serves you damn right!” as he snickered satisfyingly.Kirishima explained, “Bakugou tried that obstacle course multiple times but just couldn’t beat All Might’s high score.”Kirishima had a regretful look on his face, but Bakugou nudged him and said, “Hey, don’t say unneccessary stuff like that!”Bakugou then pointed his red pepper candy towards Deku and said, “You bastard, you better man up for next year’s Cultural Festival ‘cause I’m going to beat both you and All Might’s high scores!”Deku replied, “Okay!
