harrypotterconfessions: I dont care who people fancast, but what really rubs me the wrong way is when HP fans constantly write Karen Gillan off as “too old” to play Lily when Ben and Andrew are 5+ years older than her, and Aarons only a couple of years younger. Its happening in the Tangled fandom too (Amanda seyfried is “too old” to play Rapunzel but Ben is being fancast as Flynn), and its so gross. Fancast whoever you want, but stop shitting on other peoples fancast, and stop being sexist. I agree that if a Marauders movie is made, Lily shouldn’t be played by a 30 year old, but neither should any of the Marauders or Snape. -- source link
