Captain America (1990) An early attempt at getting Marvel movies off the ground, this Yugoslavian production stars Matt Salinger (author JD’s son). He gives it his best, given an obviously low budget. (At least his costume has some stretch to it, unlike Chris Evans’) Similar to the 1st Chris Evans movie, Cap gets frozen, though in this one it’s near the beginning of the film. Red Skull pretty much gives Captain America a pounding … followed by a knockout needle in the neck (ouch!) Cap awakes to find himself mounted / welded to a rocket. The rocket goes off course putting Captain America in the deep freeze of Alaska.
