To facilitate the travel of those wishing to attend this show, the Railways issued holiday excursion return tickets to Dunedin from Oamaru, Clinton, and intermediate stations for 12-16 July. The Dunedin Fancier’s Club included those interested in birds and dogs. At around the same time other Dunedin clubs included the Orpington Club, the British Bulldog Club, and later the Otago Game Fowl Club, the Dunedin Pigeon Club, the Otago Canary Club and the Otago Fanciers’ Society.
