Kamehameha II, King of Hawaii, and his entourage take in a play at the Covent Garden Theatre, London, 1824. After receiving a gift from King George, Kamehameha resolved to visit England. He and his court toured London and attended a number of glamorous events, but before they could meet King George, the Hawaiians came down with measles, for which they had no immunity.
