nadbov:Here’s my finished piece for the @douxiezine !! It was an honor to be a part of this project alongside so many talented artists!I really enjoyed drawing Douxie and his friends celebrating with a well-deserved party at his new apartment after the events of Wizards! Seeing this piece through to the end was a very rewarding experience that I learned a lot from. It was really challenging to undertake staging and coloring so many characters all in one scene while still maintaining a sense of unity and flow. I’m really happy with how it turned out and I feel like I achieved exactly what I wanted with this piece thanks to the support of my friends and fellow zine artists! Also, when coming up with this concept, I knew I wanted to break apart the usual ToA cliques to illustrate that they are all truly real friends and to showcase unique and unexpected character interactions! It was so fun interweaving story and symbolism in the background and props as well! I also included some close-ups of a few of my favorite moments in this piece.
