Having the feet licked by a slave is not only a pleasure in itself, is also an effective way to reassert hierarchy, to “remember” the slave his (or her) very low position, as an inferior being, an animal, and so reinforcing in the slave the sense of humility and the full disposition to serve. The licking of dirty feet is even more humiliating, and some mistresses and masters give their feet purposely sweaty and dirty to the slaves for being cleaned by tongue.
