You see, student athletes had recently earned the right to get paid for playing college football. That was certainly a win - but unfortunately budget cuts were required elsewhere in the program to pay the new salaries.The college decided that only the bare essentials would be provided for the student athletes’ uniforms across the board. That meant only protective gear for the football team- pads and a jockstrap for their safety cup.Jacob couldn’t believe he was actually going to have to play like this. He considered himself lucky, though - after all, he knew guys on the swimming and wrestling teams who now had to compete butt naked. And hey, at least he was getting paid. -- source link
