The illustration I did early last year for @coolinaryexplorers’s book “Childfood - Recipes for young Coolinary Explorers” a cookbook for children (age 6 -12), that features 20 international recipes provided by top chefs from all over the world such as Massimo Bottura, Gaggan Anand, Dominique Crenn, Vladimir Muhkin, Francis Mallmann and Virgilio Martinez amongst others. These recipes will be accompanied by 20 fairytales written by Luca Scarcella @lus_pics about one of the main ingredients of the dish, which will each be illustrated by 20 illustrators around the world.Mine was on the herb Dill, its medicinal and healing properties dating from Ancient Greece as recorded by Ancient Greece physician Pedanius Dioscorides (who was also a pharmacologist, botanist and author of Greek herb encyclopaedia “De Materia Medica”) for a recipe by the great colombian Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos.This book is essentially a children’s book, for an activity that they can do with their parents, guardians, older siblings.A portion of the funds from book sales will go to @charitywater, the leader in the world in projects aimed at bringing clean water to communities who don’t have easy access to it, and @sharethemeal, a project of the @worldfoodprogrammeBy Ngadi Smart: Instagram -- source link
