If you have not yet received your bundle, please make sure to read through our announcement. If you did not receive an email and you cannot find it in any of the clutter or spam folders, there is a possibility that Etsy did not provide to us your email address. If this is the case, please sign up for our mailing list.Keep reading for a transcript of our email below:Due to the huge amount of unsellable zines sent to us by Mixam, we are reprinting SHOWTIME in order to fulfil our remaining orders.In order to ensure we have enough money for shipping out all remaining bundles and compensating our contributors, our reprint will not have foil on the cover.If your order has not yet shipped and you would like foil cover, please fill out our form by May 25, 2022 and we will do our best to accommodate your request. This will be first come first serve.If we cannot fulfill your request for foil, you will be notified via email before it is taken to the post office. Why is this happening?We understand that this is disappointing news, but by removing foil, we aim to prevent any future issues with the quality of our zines, along with the expenses that come with it.Our original supplier, Mixam, sent us an alarmingly high amount of zines that were unsellable. Many of them had covers that were entirely whited out, and the majority of the rest had missing or misplaced foil to a drastic degree. Our original shipping moderator did not check for the quality of these zines - nor did they alert the rest of the mods of the situation - until the new shipping mods took over, meaning that these issues went under our radar for months.We are changing our supplier to Smartpress, which is what our moderators used to manufacture zines in the past with little to no issues. The turnaround time for production is around 14 days, meaning that there should not be a drastic delay for the zines to arrive to our new shipping moderator’s house. However, ordering zines from Smartpress with gold foil will be almost twice as expensive as ordering without foil. For convenience, price comparisons are recorded in this spreadsheet.Unfortunately, shipping stock to the new shipping moderators has taken a large toll on our budgeting and we determined that ordering foiled zines from our new supplier would most likely put us in the financial red. This is a risk we must avoid.SHOWTIME’s gold foiling was originally a surprise add-on to celebrate meeting a milestone in sales during preorders. At this point in time, we can no longer afford what was supposed to be our stretch goal.
