March 5th, 1880, St Luci Marais The couple quickly got to supervising the unpacking and moving of their belongings, of course after the initial awe of their colorfully charming new abode. Of course, the interior needed some work, but nothing that they couldn’t make do with until they could afford the renovations they planned to do. Besides, the best part was the yard, which in the front featured a lovely porch, and a the back a patio perfect for playing cards with, a small greenhouse to remind Jacqueline of her father’s home in Tartosa, a well to better access water from the nearby canal, and a chicken coop, to save some money on eggs. It was clearly a perfect compromise for the couple: close enough to Naveen’s new job at the newly opened Sage College as a professor, and a beautiful but cozy home for Jacqueline, on the water and near neighbors. It was perfect.Previous | Next -- source link
