bizarrolord: darkvioletcloud: vaguelyconcernedtriangle: darkvioletcloud: madman479r: darkvioletcloud: vaguelyconcernedtriangle: darkvioletcloud: pitch-dark-heart: dresses don’t make ppl women. being a woman makes u a woman. this is not a terf post. what’s in between ur leggies does not make you a woman. Yeah!! Men can wear dresses if they want and they’re still a dude!!! Trans women are not men in dresses. They’re women through and through. Factually they are men do not stop becoming men, even if they choose to live their lives as women. Factually you are an idiot and a transphobe. @darkvioletcloud Factually, the biology of the person makes up whether you’re a man or woman, if a woman dresses as a man, their chromosomes don’t have to give a shit and keeps them being a woman, thus, still a woman. Clothes don’t change biology no matter how much you scream and cry about it and no, im not being transphobic because i don’t have an extreme or irrational hate or fear of trans people. “Factually you are an idiot and a transphobe” factually this isn’t a good argument and just makes you look immature and have nothing to back it up And just like that i can call you a Allodoxaphobe, a phobia of other peoples opinions So just to clarify, no matter how much you say i am a transphobe im not, just like how no matter what a woman wears, shes still a woman, same for men. Also, say a white guy wants to identify as a black man, can he? And can he use the norms black people can do but is taboo for other races? Or say a 15 year old wants to go to a club but isn’t of legal age, can he or she identify as an 18-21 year old? What if a man commits a crime but identifies as a woman in order to serve less time in jail? Then again, a man identified as a woman and won a womans weight lifting competition but wasn’t awarded for his/her efforts, is that a case of transphobia? Was that fair? Hell if we can change gender, why not age or race? Why do you care so fucking much about the personal lives of others? Why do you care if someone wants to live their life as the other gender? Does it really impact you so much that you have to be an asshole? Learn what empathy is. Learn what basic human kindness is. Learn to be a decent person. Agreement is not a prerequisite for kindness or empathy. You’re doing a whole lot of none of those three things right now. Yawn. Predictable arguments. Try again. That being said, a male crossdresser and a trans woman are two different things. The first is a man who likes to wear girly clothes. The second is someone, though biologically male (though sometimes intersex, depending), experiences a disconnect between the sex characteristics they have and what their brain perceives to be there. Just because you can’t see the difference doesn’t mean there isn’t one. It’s not about “identifying” as anything to gain a supposed advantage. It’s an internal problem that the vast majority of the time is resistant to therapy to “get rid” of it. -- source link
