One year ago I had breast augmentation, often otherwise known in the trans community as top surgery. This last year has taught me a lot about myself. I learned to love my body even more. I grew in my confidence. I took up space and showed up in ways I never thought I could. I learned not to care less about what others think. I also learned to appreciate my body in new ways. The euphoria from having top surgery allowed me to shrug off dysphoria surrounding other parts of my body. It took a lot of hard work, perseverance, resilience, and support to be get where I am in life.
