myrthena: “You are the one you’ve been waiting for all of your life.” Here’s how I came up with this painting:For this, I first thought of the lyrics “Something is familiar, like a dream I can reach but not quite hold.” Maybe because technically reaching out to something is reaching away from yourself, which was why Elsa couldn’t quite understand what the answer was until Iduna sings with her, and she says in reply, “I am found.” The F2 soundtrack was released before the movie, and before seeing it I’ve gotten wind of the fact that Show Yourself was a duet of Elsa and her mother. Yet in the sequence wherein Iduna’s voice harmonizes with Elsa’s, Iduna does not appear in the present. Elsa was singing alone. Then it made perfect sense. Her solitude has always been symbolic. The voice was leading her to the answer which was herself. After this we do not hear the siren voice anymore anywhere in the movie. -- source link
