It’s been a long, trying year. Many of us are still struggling to find snatches of normalcy in the chaos, and anything that gives us some semblance of routine is a comfort. ❄️With that in mind, we’re very pleased to announce that the Have A Happy Hobbit Holiday Gift Exchange 2020 is live! We’ve loved moderating this event for the last four years, and hope that our lovely fandom friends will join us once again for a little festivity and cheer.❄️Sign-ups are open right now, and will remain open until October 23rd! We would appreciate boosts, as the time frame is a couple days shorter than last year, and we want to make sure than everyone who wants to participate has a fair shot at it. Spam those Hobbit-related tags, Precious! On a slightly more somber note, we absolutely understand if the idea of a gift exchange is a bit overwhelming for some right now. Participating in the past doesn’t obligate you to participate this year, and we know many are still struggling to maintain employment, housing, and health in these troubled times. Be honest and kind with yourself about whether taking on an additional stressor, no matter how fun, is something you want to do. And as always, please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns! You can send us an Ask here, or email us at ahappyhobbitholiday17@gmail.com.We hope that this event reminds you, as it does us, that you’re still part of a wonderful community of immensely creative and kind-hearted people, who all just want to share their appreciation of Tolkien’s works with other outstanding humans Best wishes, - The Mods (@rutobuka2, @mcmanatea, @mithrilbikini)- ️ Click here to sign up and enter the event! ️ -- source link
