growing-yet-into-magic:Alright…here’s my mother’s indoor gardening tip, so listen closely. You’re leaving for vacation; there’s no one left to water your plants. What do you do? You can’t leave them to die!You water your plants and take a clear plastic bag- I used a plastic trash bag, but my mother suggests something like a dry-cleaning return bag- and you gently place your plant inside. Once you soak your plant thoroughly (can’t let it dry out) you take some deep breaths and you blow up that bag like a balloon. It’ll need the CO2 while you’re gone. You tie the end as tight as you can, as air tight as you can, and you take a look at your little ecosystem. Water in the pot and from your breath can’t leave the bubble and will cycle again and again through the plant; the CO2 should be more than enough for a week while you’re gone to the beach or to the swamp or the hills or wherever you may roam. Set ‘em in their preferred sunlight and let them be. So worry less! I know I will now. Blessings! -- source link
