depressingfacts:other-stuff:lilmaj132:andreagoldston:This is where we place our values, USA.There is something seriously wrong with this.I believe (I remember being so depressed when I investigated) our football coach makes considerably more than the university president and both of them receive a considerable portion of their pay from the school’s foundation because the university cannot pay such high salaries.On a slightly different point there is also considerable disparity of pay within the faculty level, with those in engineering being paid the most and those in humanities being paid the lowest salaries.This is really something that confuses me to no end. Both of my parents are deans at well known Korean universities, but their collective income comes nowhere even CLOSE to the levels of collegate football coaches within the US. -- source link
