This week, we’re highlighting border decoration!LJS 500, Liber mirabilium, is an alchemical and medical compendium containing recipes and texts from a variety of sources. Created in Piran in the 1500s, this manuscript features a very organically structured border decoration that incorporates an illuminated initial in the bottom left corner of the page.
