putmeinherplace: These figure 8 cuffs are said to be quite restrictive; much more than regular cuffs, to the point that it’s not recommended to play with them if you’re not experienced enough, since there is a risk of injury. I suppose, if you’re careful enough, they can be fun. Restrictive is good :) The human body wants to move – if it’s held in place for long enough that in itself can get quite excruciating and entertaining for everyone involved. Ahem.Anyway, I think the thing about figure-8 cuffs it’s just that they’re bad when struggling comes into play, because they’re only “comfortable” when the bound limbs are almost touching. So I guess they’re good for slow-paced scenes or scenes where the bottom is placed in a position that doesn’t allow for enough leverage against the cuffs. And they need to be sized right. Having your wrist get stuck while turning it against the cuff is surely painful (and not in a good way). I still want a pair. Mainly for an easy box-tie (forarms parallel behind the back). -- source link
