A message to tumblr……the note from your CEO about changing the content policy says that your actions were done “out of love.” Respectfully speaking, that is a lie. Your actions were done out of fear of becoming irrelevant and protecting advertising revenues, because Apple removed your app from its store (as a result of one terrible situation, which everyone agrees is wrong and criminal), and also with complete disregard for the people who entrusted their blogs and creativity to Tumblr. Your decision was harsh, extreme and, quite frankly, illogical. There were so many other solutions and actions you could have taken that would have been more thoughtful and positive. Additionally, many of the very blogs you have altered, blocked and deleted would have supported you in further preventing the offensive crime that occurred. You turned your back on the very people that have kept you relevant and supported you for years…..and then you gave us no choice.Goodbye, Tumblr, forever and a day. -- source link
