Guitar players with the 6th Field Co. Corp of Engineers Somewhere in Vancouver between 1915 and 1917. I so wonder what they sounded like (though their audience doesn’t look too impressed, or maybe they’re just spellbound). Twangy Hawaiian slide guitar spread in popularity during WWI and was a major influence on both blues (slide guitar) and country (steel guitar) music.
