Anne was a young Jewish teenage girl growing up in Nazi-occupied Holland, hiding out in her attic and writing a diary about the growing storm of hatred and persecution around her. This stuff still happens folks – it’s just not widely reported, and tends to happen in a lot of forgotten corners of the world. It’s not ‘fake news’. But, back to teenage Anne. She was curious about a lot of things, including sexuality. And hiding out from the Nazis gave her lots of time to contemplate her blossoming womanhood.
