While watching the sunset at Second Beach, on Washington’s Olympic Coast (posted a couple of shots back), I noticed that the moon was likely to set behind the wave-worn hole passing through the rocky headland to the north. It was forecast to be the last clear night of our visit to La Push, so I dragged myself out of bed just before midnight and hiked the half mile or so down to the beach. I cut it pretty close, but had just enough time to snap this shot of the moon setting right where I’d hoped it would. It was a beautiful night to be out.Portfolio | Instagram -- source link
