Wanda Wulz, Io + gatto, 1932 (Source: Metropolitan Museum of Art) Wanda Wulz was an Italian photographer, member of a long tradition of photographers of Trieste (his grandfather Giuseppe, his father Carlo, and her sister Marion, with whom Wanda shared the familiar photographic studio). Beyond her professional work in this studio, in the decade of the 30 Wulz developed a personal work, experimental and creative, with an aesthetic very close to surrealism and futurism. Her most famous piece is this particularly selfportrait, in which her image is mixed with the portrait of the family cat. A work that is still powerful and inspiring today. -- source link
