triplevirgo: on my latest trip to the beach, i collected enough fragments to complete a project i’d been envisioning: a seashell nordic rune set. each piece i chose has a relatively smooth white side, onto which i painted a black rune and sealed it with a light coat of clear nail polish. they’re pleasing in the hands, and they are shaped so distinctly by the ocean’s energy that they feel intrinsically magical and a perfect medium for divination. since i’m new to casting runes, i also spent some time adding extended rune meanings to my grimoire. they are paraphrased from an excellent series by @grumpylokeanelder - please go check those out! i also added some tarot correspondences to help me cross-reference as i learn. they were finished in time to charge under the solstice full moon, but i haven’t found the right time yet to start getting to know them… My runes were given to me from someone else, found in her attic, but they are just the major manufactured ones. I’ve been wanting to make my own, and this may be my medium. -- source link
