I don’t know what my brain told me: I had no information in my hand but a picture of Toby Regbo on the set of Volterra. I said to myself “Ok, today I have to study, tomorrow I have the exam, Thursday I work, Friday I go to Volterra”. It’s not that I did not have anything to do, in fact I can not afford to go to Volterra every day, but after a long reflection I realized that was the occasion of my life and I could only go to Volterra once (ie I could only go on Friday) and I had only one chance: the Next day, Saturday, I was invited to the Rome Film Festival for the premiere of Ti Presento Sofia, Sunday is not a day of work for the set, Monday I had the meeting with Martin Scorsese, Tuesday the Allieva 2 conference and Wednesday again another conference with Martin Scorsese. Then it would have been too long and maybe Toby would have left Volterra. So my sister and I woke up at 4 AM Friday 20th Octorber and for 4 hours I drove from Rome to Volterra, to get to the village at 9 in the morning. I’m crazy I know. Once we arrive we begin to visit the medieval village and it does not take long to find the first barred streets to not disturb the set. I was tired and very nervous. Not even the shadow of Toby. My sister and I didn’t give up and we turn to Volterra with the drawing in plain sight asking people “Someone has seen this guy?”. Fortunately, everyone was kind to me, and perhaps this availability was due to the fact that I was not looking for Daniel Sharman, but a little-known actor. A safety bodyguard in particular was very helpful because, after seeing the drawing, he took both my sister and me to the exit of a parking lot, in front of a bar saying “I give you permission to stay here, don’t move. At 12 Toby sticks to record and will be brought to the set by my colleague. If you want to see him, stay with me ”. AMEN The rest is history. I prefer to share this video with you and say only to forgive my gaffe and my very bad english but I was really excited and I had not slept. There is nothing else to add.
