beautiful-basque-country: When Americans just visit Barcelona and asume all Spain has the same climate.Not just the Pyrenees have a different weather, but the northern coast has its own humid-as-hell one, the inner plateau has incredible differences between winter and summer - and yes, winters ARE freezing -, there are a couple of deserts (Nafarroa & Almería), and the south isn’t as mild as the Mediterranean side but a freaking oven from May on. Also our beloved Canary islands are under the subtropical climate, a true wonder!Also worthy of mention is to choose a pic of La Concha beach (Donostia, Atlantic climate) to illustrate the “Mediterranean climate”.Sigh. -- source link
