I bought the first Master Edition used last week…and just ordered the next two with Prime shipping because I’m OBSESSED. It is SO good! I’m flying through the first Edition, and I’m almost done. Can’t wait to have the next copies in my hands.I watched the show on Netflix when it first came out, and it’s really incredible, so detailed and wonderful. But the comic book series really is a different ballgame. We’re talking graphic too–the violence can get extreme. But such is life, I guess, when you live in a house with magical keys and everyone wants to acquire them. *le sigh*While the story (so far) is incredibly heavy and dark, I’m obsessed with the Lockes and can’t WAIT to see what occurs next in their lives. I’m hoping for the best for them, as individuals and as a family. They’ve all had such a rough go of it, they deserve the best.I feel that I seriously missed out by not reading these when they came out. Then again, I’m glad I caught it now that the series is done, so I won’t have to wait. And, best of all, I get the whole story neatly compiled in these STUNNING Master Editions! Also, this probably wouldn’t have been on my radar for the eight years they were coming out as comics, as I’m not up on what’s new in the world of comic books/graphic novels. General fiction/YA is more my scene. But these have thrown me for a loop. I’m definitely opening up my radar to more comic books and graphic novels. My co-worker recommended Saga, so I’m hoping to check it out sometime in the future, along with Fables. And Sandman has been on my radar for years, I just haven’t jumped in–anything by Neil Gaiman is always an adventure. -- source link
